Catholic Family Center is Rochester's largest family service provider, helping nearly 63,000 people each year achieve independence with dignity.
CFC is a comprehensive agency that houses nine major service areas for people of all ages, races, religions and socioeconomic circumstances.
In all, CFC has 60 programs within its nine service departments, available to the community at 17 locations throughout Monroe and Wayne Counties.
CFC also recognizes that having a job which pays a living wage is important to all our clients. That is why we offer several important programs which transcend all service areas, including: Work First (a welfare-to-work employment program), the Employment Services Program and the Ways to Work Family Loan Program, which provides low-interest loans to the working poor for anything that can help maintain, or lead to, employment.

Catholic Youth Organization
Whether it's tutoring a student with a math assignment, teaching teens job skills or cheering on the athletes in our CYO sports leagues, youth are at the heart of what we do.
CYO provides for the development of young people's spiritual, emotional, intellectual and physical potential. Our programs assist young people as they assume responsibility for themselves, and for their relationships with family, peers, community and their faith. The CYO, is the youth services department of Catholic Family Center.
Children and Family Services
Children respond well to healthy family life. But sometimes, undue stress, substance abuse or other debilitating factors can have a devastating impact on how a child grows up.
That's why CFC's Children & Family Services department works hard at helping families overcome these difficulties. We intervene in situations where children are at risk for abuse or neglect, with the goal of working with the family to prevent foster care placement.
Elder Services
Being there for people in a crisis is a big part of our work. In an era characterized by downsizing, long work days, and job-related stress, clients rely on our expertise to help them find solutions that work for them.
Just having someone to talk to and guide you through the healing process can be the difference between getting lost and finding the way out. Our masters-level counselors provide counseling services to individuals, couples and families on a wide variety of issues.
Employee Assistance/Counseling Services
Our focus is simple. We help older persons maintain a safe and dignified independence in their own homes, for as long as they are able.
We do this through a wide range of comprehensive, community-based services, and through the caring commitment of our professional staff and volunteers.
We believe that aging well is a right we all have, and our staff of specialists and committed volunteers work hard every day to ensure all our clients are treated with the dignity they deserve.
Homeless and Housing Services
Our shelters for men, and women with children provide clients with more than just a hot meal and a place to sleep. We believe job training, computer classes, counseling and wide- ranging support services go much further in dealing with the root problems of homelessness.
Office of Social Policy & Research
Our services teach clients to use their voice, to get involved, to help them actively transform their own lives. Through advocacy, we focus on changing unjust systems that keep people from realizing their full potential.

Restart Substance Abuse Services
Few things can devastate a person like an addiction can. Substance abuse can cost a person his job, his marriage, his friends, and, ultimately, his life.
Our staff are experts at treating addiction, and regarded as some of the best in the business when it comes to finding the right combination of treatment, counseling and support for each client.
Wayne County Office
Folks living in rural areas can find it difficult to get the services they need, primarily because many agencies and programs can only be found in the city.
CFC has a strong presence in Wayne County, providing a wide range of services to those who live in this rural/suburban setting..
